Notes Safe is designed to help you create and protect private notes. Your notes stay on your device unless you choose to use optional cloud sync or backup features.
This policy is provided for users of Notes Safe and for app store review, including Google Play verification.

Information We Collect or Store
Notes Safe may collect or store the following information:
- Notes, checklists, drawings, reminders, categories, and related note settings that you create in the app.
- App preferences, such as theme, language, and unlock settings.
- Your Google account email and profile information when you choose to sign in for data sync or backup.
- Technical information needed to operate Firebase or Google services, such as authentication tokens and service metadata.

How We Use Information
We use information only to provide app features, including:
- Saving, displaying, editing, and organizing your notes.
- Locking and unlocking the app using device-supported authentication.
- Backing up or restoring notes when you choose Google Drive sync.
- Maintaining app reliability and security.
Google Drive Sync
If you sign in with Google, Notes Safe requests access to the Google Drive app data folder. This is used to upload and restore a backup file for Notes Safe. The app does not request broad access to all files in your Drive.
You can revoke Google access at any time from your Google account security settings.
Notes Safe uses Google user data only to provide the sync and backup feature you request. The app does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or selling data.
Permissions
- Internet access is used for Google sign-in, Firebase services, and Google Drive sync.
- Biometric permission is used only to unlock the app through your device's authentication system.
Biometric Unlock
Notes Safe may use fingerprint, Face ID, or another device-supported authentication method to unlock the app. Biometric data is handled by your device operating system. Notes Safe does not collect, store, or transmit your fingerprint or face data.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your notes with advertisers. Information may be processed by service providers such as Google Firebase or Google Drive only when needed to provide sign-in, storage, sync, backup, or security features.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the security, rights, or safety of users or the app.
Data Storage and Security
Notes stored locally remain on your device. Cloud backups, if enabled, are stored using your Google account and Google Drive app data storage. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we use platform services intended to protect account access and app data.
Data Retention and Deletion
Local notes remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Google Drive backups remain in your Google account until you delete the backup, revoke access, or remove app data from your Google Drive settings.

Your Choices
- You can use Notes Safe without Google sync.
- You can sign out of Google sync from inside the app.
- You can delete notes from the app.
- You can revoke app access from your Google account settings.
- You can uninstall the app to remove local app data from your device, subject to your device backup settings.
Children's Privacy
Notes Safe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
